A Word To The Wise Evaluation from The Music Center, Education Division. "A Word To The Wise" is a one-man show that is peopled with lots of exceptional characters. Paul Tracey engagingly sings and waltzes amongst such distinguished company as: Benjamin Franklin, Eleanor Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi, King Solomon, Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln and Confucius. Life-size caricatures serve as the stage presence of these famous people whose wisdom secures them a place in the cast. Paul threads tidbits and anecdotes full of knowledge and insight from their lives as narrative segues and/or lyrics in the show's seven songs. The music is up-beat and the rhymes, clever. Themes and ideas expressed include The Golden Rule, Bad Things Can Happen to Good People, and Use Your Common Sense. Brightly colored banners frame the stage illustrating these and other key points in a vivid, bold way. Visually exciting, musically rich and educationally abundant in a multitude of applications, "A Word to the Wise" is a dynamic arts experience for audiences of all ages.
